Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, everyone. How are you all doing? Did you have a nice weekend? Did you do anything special? My dearest and oldest friend asked to get together this weekend, so we met for lunch in Montreal yesterday. It's always a joy to see her. It was a beautiful day until later in the afternoon when buckets of rain starting coming down. Then it stopped and the sun came out. Then the rain returned. Then the sun. And on and on it went, back and forth. It was the weirdest, most erratic day ever. Today it's raining again. Of. Course. It. Is.

Let's get to the funny stuff and give the day a happy boost!

Have a good one!

  1. Thanks for today's laughs! The good part is that we don't have to water the lawn or the flowers! Everything's blooming like I've never seen it before.

  3. Another fine collection of cartoons. I like the Ikea ark. I have put together a number of Ikea projects. They are not too bad. The directions are usually straight forward.

    1. I agree. I think the IKEA assembly is quite exaggerated!

    1. We didn't go anywhere special. We met at the Fairview Mall on the West Island and had lunch at the food court. She had a lot of things to do that day and we were pressed for time. Next time we'll meet somewhere a lot more interesting!

    2. I lived in Beaconsfield for a few years before making the jump to the Laurentians. Fairview was a weekly trip for me! :)

    1. Thanks, Linda. She is trying her best. A concussion is tough, especially at her age.

  9. OMG, Martha, I read your post and forgot to comment. Early onset. Anyway, thank you for the laughs. We don't go to Ikea either, but I liked the comic! I sincerely hope you had a great time with your friend. At the moment, we are part way into a day without rain! Yay! Have a fantastic week. -Jenn

    1. This rain is getting a little ridiculous. I don't like when it's extremely hot or dry, but this is not what I'd call a perfect season!

  13. Glad you got to see your friend. Great comics- I love the IKEA ark and the support hose :) Hae a great week!

  14. I could use support hose, but it's too hot for any kind of hosiery. This afternoon we had thunder and lightning. Then it stopped and the sun came out. I went out to grocery shop and of course it poured.

    Love,
    Janie

  18. They're all good cartoons and made me titter. I liked the universal bottle. Nice one. Good luck with the weather over there. I'm reading a new book otherwise I would have been on earlier. Mel just made me laugh. She has an impish sense of humour that never fails to make me laugh.

    1. Titter. I love that word! It's not something I hear often. Laughing is good for us in so many ways. I make sure I do it every day!
